Capcom has finally revealed the DLC for Resident Evil Village.

Announced as "Resident Evil Gold Edition" the new content will feature:

  • Shadows of Rose
  • The Mercenaries: Additional Orders
  • Third Person Mode

And probably something that won't get as much love as Resident Evil Resistance:

  • Resident Evil RE:Verse

Personally, Shadows of Rose and Third Person Mode do it for me.

I'm gonna stream the hell out of that.

Oh, and you will be able to play as Chris, Heisenberg and Lady D in The Mercenaries.

October 28th 2022 baby.

Here we go!

RESIDENT EVIL VILLAGE GOLD EDITION

SCREENSHOTS

As usual, I archived all images on the Resident Evil Village Gallery.

Huge thanks to my man geth for sending multiple links my way.

I should start paying the man.

Capcom has released a video detailing the updates for RE Village Gold edition, along with a very brief update on the Resident Evil 4 remake:

As a self proclaimed "Resident Evil super fan" I suck.

I honestly forgot the Winters expansion was coming out for Resident Evil Village. Hell, at least I think you can't really blame me.

Halloween season has been (still) waiting to see Halloween Ends:

Not to mention, the site just turned 5 as well.

I'll be careful with the images I share, thus, hiding them with the spoiler tag.

Feel free to share your current progress as well. Just be mindful of spoilers for anyone who has not played the DLC yet. 8-)

So, I finally downloaded this baby, feel free to read below on my current progress:

Overall, I am enjoying the experience.

As my work / game-time is usually after 10:30pm, I decided to get this ready and start it up. I have seen people (already) bitching and moaning on Steam about how "short" the Shadows of Rose expansion is.

The only thing I personally care about, is that DLC actually adds to the overall story. So far so good, I'll keep it going tomorrow as it it almost 1am as I am posting this after finally getting about 1hr in.

Slow and steady baby.

Slow and steady.

Gaming has been slow this week.

Again, you can't really blame me. Finally got a chance to watch Halloween Ends (spoilers below):

That recent trilogy does deserve it's own post by the way.

Back to Resident Evil:

So without spoiling much for anyone who still hasn't played it, I finally got out of the "initial area"

Well, back to it tonight.

So in total, it took me 3 sessions to beat Shadows of Rose.

I took it nice and slow, avoiding all manners of spoilers online. As it is tradition on the site, I always do an online blackout in order to avoid having anything spoiled for me (it's quite liberating actually, I should do that more often :D)

So here we go, there are some images below which could spoil the endgame for anyone who hasn't finished the DLC yet.

Loved this DLC. I still say (all) DLC from Resident Evil 7 is the best in quality and story telling.

There were a lot of unanswered questions left after Shadows of Rose.

Good questions though.

My body is ready for the Resident Evil 4 remake now.

Village is getting free DLC for PlayStation VR2.

I'm usually not a fan of VR games, but this actually does look cool.

RESIDENT EVIL VILLAGE VR MODE

The DLC will release on February 22nd. This will be a free update for PlayStation users.

RE7 VR was great, this actually does look like an upgrade in fun factor. Although, it will be curious to see if they slow down the gameplay to accommodate for VR.

The Beneviento section...
