I'll be careful with the images I share, thus, hiding them with the spoiler tag.
Feel free to share your current progress as well. Just be mindful of spoilers for anyone who has not played the DLC yet.
So, I finally downloaded this baby, feel free to read below on my current progress:
The download itself isn't that big. Mine clocked in at about 7.5GB. Although, I did have a pending 1.5GB update before getting the DLC. SoI would say it is about 5 - 6GB total if your game was already up to date.
Here we go baby!
I actually like this new male character, here's hoping we see more of him in the future.
I am ALWAYS a sucker for lab environments in all Resident Evil games (even Operation Raccoon City). Love this shit.
Rape dungeon vibes all around.
This girl (in black) is seriously giving off some Claudia Gillespie vibes...
Capcom did actually surprise me with the way they are re-using the Castle environment.
Oh hell no.
My Caucasian twin.
.. and minions.
This actually made me laugh.
VERY important item though.
Overall, I am enjoying the experience.
As my work / game-time is usually after 10:30pm, I decided to get this ready and start it up. I have seen people (already) bitching and moaning on Steam about how "short" the Shadows of Rose expansion is.
The only thing I personally care about, is that DLC actually adds to the overall story. So far so good, I'll keep it going tomorrow as it it almost 1am as I am posting this after finally getting about 1hr in.
Slow and steady baby.
Slow and steady.

Gaming has been slow this week.
Again, you can't really blame me. Finally got a chance to watch Halloween Ends (spoilers below):
That recent trilogy does deserve it's own post by the way.
Back to Resident Evil:
So without spoiling much for anyone who still hasn't played it, I finally got out of the "initial area"
This new enemy had a great reveal. I immediately knew I would have to eventually fight him to progress.
I've beaten every Metal Gear Solid game son. Stealth ain't got nothing on me.
His close up definitely gave me some Evil Within vibes.
I love the re-use of the Televisions. The new mask logo is much better than Heisenberg's in my opinion.
I managed to get the crystal, but I did suspect something was up as it was way too easy to get once you can "freeze" the molded.
This dude was ready for me, reminded me a lot of the Garrador from Resident Evil 4...
Back outside, I wonder where I have to go next.
Oh hell no, not Beneviento house...
Well, back to it tonight.

So in total, it took me 3 sessions to beat Shadows of Rose.
I took it nice and slow, avoiding all manners of spoilers online. As it is tradition on the site, I always do an online blackout in order to avoid having anything spoiled for me (it's quite liberating actually, I should do that more often )
So here we go, there are some images below which could spoil the endgame for anyone who hasn't finished the DLC yet.
This fucking house. I hate it as much as I love it. I serious thought they could not pull of a second scare with the same environment. Boy I was wrong...
Anytime I hear a line like this in Resident Evil, I imagine anything with more than 2 legs. Nasty.
I'm usually not a fan of VR games, but this actually does look cool.
RESIDENT EVIL VILLAGE VR MODE
The DLC will release on February 22nd. This will be a free update for PlayStation users.
RE7 VR was great, this actually does look like an upgrade in fun factor. Although, it will be curious to see if they slow down the gameplay to accommodate for VR.
