RESIDENT EVIL 5 / BIOHAZARD 5 - FIXES
This is a fan made patch to fix some of the major bugs in the Residnet Evil 5 steam port.
This is not officially approved by CAPCOM, use it on your own risk.
FIXES
- GFWL NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR PLAYING
Games for Windows Live is no longer required to launch and play the game.
- TRADE WEAPONS WITH YOUR PARTNER
You are now able to give and request weapons from your partner without restrictions.
- VERSUS MODE DEFAULT WEAPON DROP
Now you no longer lose your default weapon in VERSUS MODE: SURVIVORS/TEAM SURVIVORS when you get killed, like in the console version.
- REGION LOCK
You are now able to see and join ALL open game session from ALL regions in all game modes.
IMPORTANT: People from other regions without this patch still can't see your session because they're game is still region locked!
- COUNTRY CODE
The game now shows again the correct country flag when you host a game session and when you upload scores to the leaderboards.
IMPORTANT: Games from people without this patch will still send the wrong country code and show the wrong flag!
- ENEMY PATHFINDING
Enemy behavior now works again like intended as in the original PS3/XBox360/GfWl release.
This fixes the problems regarding the Majini with the crane key in chapter 6-1,
Chainsaw Majini in Desperate Escape and Majinis in The Mercenaries not jumping down or out of containers.
Also prevents Majini from running around in circlels like idiots!
HOW TO INSTALL
Go to your Steam folder where Resident Evil 5 is installed.
usually in: C:\*****\Steam\steamapps\common\Resident Evil 5
Copy and paste all files into your Resident Evil 5 folder and override or backup the old files.
Just launch the game as usual from your Steam library and the fixes will take place.
- OPTIONS
You can now easely enable/disable various additional mods in the config.ini of the game
.ini location:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\CAPCOM\RESIDENT EVIL 5
The new entries belong under [GAME] and will be automatically added to the .ini after the first start of the game with the patched exe.
Biohazard=ON|OFF
Simply changes the text and voice from the title screen into Biohazard
HideInputNotification=ON|OFF
Disables the message that always appears when you switch between controller and keyboard + mouse
Mouselaser=ON|OFF
Enables the laser sight for mouse aiming
ReunionMeleeOverall=ON|OFF
Gives you the possibility to use partner specific melee moves from Reunion characters with every partner and in solo mode as long as your HP is over 50%
VersusRandomFinisher=ON|OFF
Let you perform a random picked melee move to finish off dying players in Versus mode
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
- DUO NO MERCY / THE MERCENARIES REUNION - NO MERCY
The fixes comes also with a new additional fan made No Mercy Mode for The Mercenaries Reunion.
While hosting a duo season in The Mercenaries and The Mercenaries Reunion you can hit the [F1] key to activate No Mercy mode.
IMPORTANT: This feature is only available if your partner is in your Steam friendlist
