I'll kick it off with BLUE EXORCIST, I had originally seen the Anime first (in Japanese). It has a pretty cool take on the Japanese high-school trope.
Not to mention a creative take on supernatural elements. The artwork feels like a mix of Manga and Western styles, for example, the backgrounds have minimal lines classic to Manga. The characters however, seem to have more lines in the artwork, just like western comics.
