FORUM RULES v1.0 - Halloween 2017 >> UPDATED 03.20.20 <<

GOBLIN6 offers a Forum with the appropriate categories for BIOHAZARD discussion.
As with many Online Forums, there will be a set of rules that will be listed to facilitate the most streamlined discussion possible.

However, the most important rule for the Forum will be:

Please do not be afraid of posting your topic.

For example, perhaps you have a question about a particular game in the series.
Maybe you have looked up the topic and have found it on another BIOHAZARD forum.
Many years have passed and most of those threads are either dead and/or gone.

Today, perhaps the community has more insight on that topic which was not available back then.

Remember “A picture is worth a thousand words”. I highly encourage you to post pictures pertaining to the topic if they are available.

FORUM RULES

The Forum will be heavily moderated to prevent spam posts.
There will be countermeasures in place to prevent spam bots from defacing the Forums.

Again, do not be afraid to post. If your topic was posted in the wrong section of the Forum do not worry,
it will be moved to the appropriate area with pleasure.

With these points in mind, here are the general rules and guidelines:

PLEASE DO NOT

Be rude or disrespectful to members of the Forum [including staff].

Use one-worded replies.

Create Religious or Political topics.

Make Sexist, Racist, or Offensive remarks.

Use any Sexist, Racist, or Offensive images in posts, avatars, and signatures.

Post game downloads [.roms, .isos, .bins, etc].

Request any downloads of any type [copywrited material].

The only download links permitted are OPEN SOURCE tools and utilities for BIOHAZARD game modifications.
These should be placed in the WESKER server, under the appropriate category: Progenitor or Uroboros.

Steam Mod links are permitted for Modern BIOHAZARD titles.
Memory Card save links is permitted for Classic BIOHAZARD titles.

PLEASE DO

Have fun!

Engage with members of the community.

Create meaningful post titles.

Use the search bar before posting.

Keep private matters private. Use Private Messages when needed.

If you are a “spam poster” [someone who deliberately joins the forum in order to post-sales links] you will be immediately banned without warning.

I know you get paid for it, but these Forums will not tolerate that kind of behavior.

You can also title your spoiler by adding an = sign after spoiler, for some strange reason the tag will not accept special characters.

VIDEOS

Every forum needs the ability to embed video. You can embed video on our forum by clicking on the TV icon, this will trigger the media tag:

ICONS (FONT AWESOME)

We have also added Font Awesome capabilities. We are running Font Awesome 4.7.0.

You can use fonts in posts (not titles) and mchat rooms as well. You can find the full list of icons here.

DOWNLOAD BUTTONS

We found a nice tag that works great as a download button. You can find it here:

You can chose from 6 different colors. I'll be using the orange tag as it goes well with the forum. Feel free to use any color you like.

"Download-link" can be changed to anything, this is used as a title header for the button. The URL of the download would follow. After that, the title for that download.

We have added ranks to the forum.

Zombie is the first rank, with Blue Umbrella being the highest level a user can reach on the forum.

The "GOBLIN6 Guest" ranks are reserved for staff and webmasters of other Resident Evil fansites.

The Biohazard rank is reserved for GOBLIN6 staff.

AVATARS

We highly encourage users to set an avatar for their respective profiles. You can link to an offsite image [we have the max size set at 128 x 128px], you can also select an avatar image from our avatar gallery.

Simply select "Gallery Avatar" from the "Avatar Type" drop-down menu.

(All newly registered users will have a default ZOMBIE avatar)

As we can see in the image below, my man Haiduk created his account two days before his one and only post.

It is obvious that his account was created solely to promote his project. This is obvious SPAM, we encourage users to share all of their creative endeavors, however, creating accounts just to promote and never posting again is a huge NO here at GOBLIN6.

So once you have registered and logged in, you can choose from any of the SERVERS which matches your topic.

>> The only SERVER which does not allow you to post a topic is the BIRKIN SERVER, which is where you can find the GOBLIN6 ARCHIVES. Only GOBLIN6 STAFF can post topics there <<

After you have selected your server, you can use the NEW TOPIC button to start a new thread.

If you are in an active thread, you can join in the conversation by clicking on POST REPLY.

The text editor is where you will be spending most of your time. You can hover over any of the buttons and you will get a description of what that particular button does.

Do not be afraid, experiment, and check your post by clicking the PREVIEW button. You can always save your post by clicking on SAVE DRAFT. When you are ready to post, just click SUBMIT.

Don't forget to check your USER CONTROL PANEL on the top right.

Once you are inside your USER CONTROL PANEL, you can check an overview of announcements.

Not to mention, under the PROFILE tab you can edit your PROFILE, AVATAR, and SIGNATURE.

We STRONGLY encourage users to show off their unique personalities by updating their AVATARS and SIGNATURES. Plus, if you customize your PROFILE users can connect easily with you on all of your available channels.

Don't forget, you need to host your custom images off-site. Then you can use the INSERT IMAGE button in the text editor
