As with many GOG releases, it appears that the games will run through a wrapper which will allow you to customize your settings. One of the main features is modern controller support.

There is 1 major drawback (at least for the original Resident Evil 1). It appears that the FMVs run at an outdated 10fps. Thanks to the internet, there's a fix for that:
